Timber Species: Poplar

The panel was made as a display piece for the Coed Cymru pavilion at the Royal Welsh. Testing at Salford University showed that poplar and beech have good sound absorbing qualities through the endgrain surface. Therma Fleece insulation was used as a backing and is also a good sound absorber. This was a display to show the potential as a product.
